Concluding My Super-Releaser Internship

Hey!

This week marks the end of my internship at Super-Releaser. Since I began last summer, I’ve been very busy, doing work such as recreating and editing projects for the upcoming book Make: Soft Robots, moderating Super-Releaser’s Soft Robotics forum, and doing PR work. In this capacity, I conducted advertising and marketing research, by helping develop press contacts and finding new outlets for Super-Releaser to share its work. I also came up with a color palette to use for company projects and to further solidify brand identity. If there is one activity that I’ve gained tremendous skill and experience in, it would be contributing to the Super-Releaser blog. I’ve written over 15 blog posts focusing on various soft robotics activities, interesting research, and other advancements in our field. I can confidently say that my writing and reporting ability has greatly grown during my internship. I also helped to build a blog-writing workflow to allow us to write blog posts as efficiently and as easily as possible.

Through my internship, I’ve learned a vast amount about soft robotics, business management, news writing, and more. On top of that, Super-Releaser helped me to access many great outside opportunities, such as speaking at World Maker Faire this past September.
As you can see, I've certainly benefitted from my internship and I hope my efforts have been supportive of the company's growth. I am incredibly thankful to have had this opportunity, and I am proud to have been part of this exciting company over the past year. I look forward to potentially collaborating with them again in the future.

Special thanks to Matt Borgatti, Kari Love, and Phil Guie for mentoring, teaching, and overseeing me through the internship!
